Tamala brings to our clinic over 30 years of dermatologic patient care and treatments. “I have learned that as we age, we want our outside to reflect the wellness we feel on the inside” Tamala passionately describes. Patient education regarding skin care, sun protection and prevention of damage are the basis of Tamala’s nursing care and skin treatments. As a melanoma patient at the age of 23, she has firsthand experience and is able to share her story in the setting of malignancies.

Tamala has worked with well-known dermatologists in the Seattle area where she has learned skin cancer treatments, tumescent liposuction, cosmetic procedures and treatment of complicated and rare skin conditions. From each of these physicians, Tamala came away with astounding knowledge of the skin, its function, diseases, the aging process and the treatments available to obtain healthy and beautiful skin.

Tamala has performed thousands of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments, chemical peels and hair removal procedures. Tamala provides acne treatments including those deep painful blemishes that ruin our weekend.

Jida has continued to uphold her professional standards by maintaining her certification as a National Certified Medical Assistant (NCCT). Jida brings valuable clinical and administrative experience in diverse medical settings, including family medicine, internal medicine, and street medicine. Sima has lived in the Greater Seattle area since 1979 and has been in health care all of her adult life. She has practiced dermatology, women’s health and family practice since 1993. Sima received her Master of Science in Adult Nurse Practitioner program from the University of Washington in 1993, and completed her post Master’s in Family Nurse Practitioner program from the Seattle University in 1998.

Sima practiced family medicine until 1997 when she was recruited by renowned dermatologist Dr. Peter Cooperrider where she got training in medical and cosmetic dermatology (prior to Botox being FDA approved, Sima participated in clinical trials for Botox). In 2001 Sima joined Northwest Face & Body where she practiced medical and cosmetic dermatology including lasers and injectables, skin biopsies and other dermatology procedures. Having two surgical operating rooms in the establishment, Sima learned surgical intervention for skin cancer, cysts, lipomas, and other skin diseases under the guidance of Dr. Julie Voss, a dermatologist and an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine. In 2006 Sima proudly opened her practice in Seattle, and expanded to Woodinville in 2008. To date, Sima has provided medical and cosmetic consultations and treatments to more than 20,000 patients.

Sima has served as a preceptor and mentor for nurse practitioner students at the University of Washington (UW), Seattle Pacific University and Seattle University. She is a designated UW lecturer for the national nurse practitioner dermatology conventions.
